アメリカは本年建国250年を迎えました。これを記念して、在日米国大使館が実施する日本全国250校を訪問するプログラムの一環として、本校に経済・科学部参事官Mr.Christopher Elmsをお迎えしました。
米国の建国の歴史、日米関係、外交官の職務についてなどのご講演をいただいた後、塾高生の質問に熱心にお答えいただきました。
「海外を旅行する旅人も外交官」、本日の学びが塾高生の今後の「外交」の一助になることと期待します。
We were honored to welcome Mr. Christopher Elms (Counselor Economic and Scientific Affairs) from Embassy of the United States of America, as part of their America 250 School Speaker Program.
It was a wonderful learning experience in U.S. history, U.S.-Japan relations, and Diplomacy and its roles. The exchanges in the heated Q&A session have certainly inspired our students to pursue their interests with a new perspective.
"Diplomacy is not just for Diplomats. We are all diplomats once we step outside of our country." We hope our students will carry this message along on their own journey of "Diplomacy".
